ABOUT

My name is Steve Clark and I was born and raised in Syracuse, New York.

About 30 years ago, my mother asked me to prove that a Civil War general who was awarded the Medal of Honor was related to us. That gave me the family history research bug that has plagued me ever since! I was able to prove that this war hero was indeed related to us. He was my mother's great grandfather's nephew and I was able to find letters that her great grandfather had written to William Seward (Abraham Lincoln's Secretary of State who was also shot in the plot to assassinate Lincoln) proving that relationship. Although my mother died knowing this, there was soooo much other research I discovered after her death that I was never able to tell her. But hopefully, she knows now. :)

So, I have the same access to thousands of websites and databases that any other genealogist has: Census records, historical newspapers, government documents and military records, county clerk's offices, land records and maps, state and church records of birth, marriage and death, naturalization and immigration records. Literally, THOUSANDS of sources and millions (probably billions) of records. But finding them efficiently and clearly documenting the sources is what I pride myself in.

I have published numerous physical family history books, not only for myself, but also for friends, family members and clients. It's a lot of work, but in the end, it is worth every ounce of sweat.

I hope you will give me the opportunity to work with you.
